All the Birds, SingingAll the Birds, Singing by Evie Wyld
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

lots of really beautiful writing in this book, interesting characters, murky backstory very nicely revealed in a very suspenseful reverse chronology (a risk that worked out and which i appreciated), things come together just as they ought in a book. until the end, which is what i’m henceforth going to call an MFA ending: something weird and “lyrical” and otherworldly that does fuck-all to answer the big plot questions.

any of my 2.3 readers want to give it a go and tell me what the ending was about?
